Voting is one way we express ourselves as a community, as voters and Americans, but to exercise this basic right, we must be registered to vote.

Register to Vote

Voter Registration Qualifications:

  • 密苏里州
    • 17 ½ years of age to register, 18 years of age to vote
    • A U.S. 公民
    • A 密苏里州 resident
  • 堪萨斯
    • Registered 21 days prior to an election and be a resident of 堪萨斯 at time of registration.
    • If you are 17 years old and will be 18 before the next election, you may apply to register to vote. You must be 18 years old to vote in an election.
    • A U.S. 公民
    • A 堪萨斯 resident

What to Bring on Election Day

For 密苏里州 (one of these):

Show one of the forms of acceptable identification and sign the poll book to obtain your ballot:

  • A nonexpired 密苏里州 driver or non-driver license;
  • A nonexpired military ID, including a veteran’s ID card;
  • A nonexpired United States passport; or
  • Another photo ID issued by the United States or the state of 密苏里州 which is either not expired or expired after the date of the most recent general election.

For 堪萨斯 (one of these):

  • Driver's license or ID card issued by 堪萨斯 or another state
  • U.S. 护照
  • U.S. Military ID
  • ID card issued by a Native American tribe
  • Employee badge or ID issued by a 政府ernment office
  • Student ID card from an accredited postsecondary education institution in 堪萨斯
  • Concealed carry license issued by 堪萨斯 or another state
  • Public assistance ID card issued by a 政府ernment office

How to request a mail-in ballot

  • Deadline to request a mail-in ballot:
    Mail-in ballot applications must be completed and received by your local election authority.
  • Deadline to submit a Mail-in ballot:
    Mail-in 选票 must be signed and returned by mail. In order to be counted, mail-in 选票 must be received by the election authority at or before the time fixed by law for the closing of the polls on Election Day. Free Notary 服务 (密苏里州 residents) for mail-in 选票:

堪萨斯 Residents

  • Deadline to request a mail-in/advance ballot:
    Mail-in ballot applications must be completed and received by your local election authority.
  • Deadline to submit a mail-in/advance ballot:
    Mail-in 选票 must be returned by mail in the provided envelope, with the statement on the envelope signed and witnessed by a notary. In order to be counted, mail-in 选票 must be received by the election authority.
